Below you can find a list of our frequently asked questions. If you have a question you would like us to answer that isn’t here, please email email@example.com.
A Museum in a Box is a small acrylic box which comes with a collection of objects for people to handle and look at. Each object has its own sticker, which when placed on the box plays an audio file specific to that item. The audio files relating to this collection tell the fictional story of Linda Thomas, a local resident of Llantrisant who shares her experiences of decimalisation as she lives through the changeover, prompting those taking part in the session to share their own memories of the time.
The loaning of these boxes is completely free of charge.
You can send us an expression of interest in loaning a box by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org. A member of staff will then book you a loan slot.
We have created a handy map tool showing all the care homes who have booked a Museum in a Box. You can find this at the bottom of the page. Simply find your location and click on the icon labelled with the name of your home. The details of your loan should then appear on the left of the map.
Each loan period is 2 weeks, but this includes postage and a 72-hour quarantine period for the box between each loan. When we send you a box, we will let you know the date we would like the box back.
