TV and film

When the United Kingdom changed over from the centuries old system of pounds, shillings and pence to the new decimal system that we all use today, it was a big change for many people who had only ever known the old money.

To help people prepare for the change and understand how the new money was going to work, the government ran a big information campaign which included television programs and films.

Here is one of the films that people in 1971 would have seen.
