Inspired by the 75th anniversary of the arrival of Empire Windrush, the Royal Mint Museum hosted a short-story competition open to all year five and year six primary school pupils in the United Kingdom.

The winner was selected by guest judge and celebrated children’s author, Onjali Q. Raúf and illustrated by guest artist Chanté Timothy. You can check out previous competition winners below.
