THE SAVIOUR OF METROPOLIS

Imagine a place where technology and nature existed in perfect harmony, in a place with boundless blue skies, sprawling, futuristic buildings so tall even a giraffe could not set sight on their peaks, long windy roads that curve and stretch like snakes slithering to catch its prey and cars that fly high like planes soaring through the air. This place was a city, a city called Metropolis! However, this city was not a normal city, this city was solar powered from the energy coming down from the radiant beams of light emerging out of the sweltering, scorching sun.
Despite this, Metropolis was still not a perfect place, it would soon become the opposite of perfect. One day, mysteriously, the power started to become feeble and weak. This was extremely odd as Metropolis was a modern city, a modern city that was usually running absolutely fine; it was like a circuit, in an efficient, everlasting cycle that never ended. However, it was no longer the organized place it once was, it was now a cluttered, chaotic city covered by a menacing, foreboding dark grey cloud looming overhead. Its large spider-like charcoal tendrils covered the colossal sky, its ragged edges curled round buildings, cars and the most important thing of all, the main energy source powering Metropolis: the sun…
Days went by, still no one acknowledging the fact that their city had lost all mightiness and power, everyone just sat at home, tranquil and calm, assuming a monstrous storm was passing by and soon Metropolis would restore its power once again, for days, still no faint flicker of light emerged on a solar panel in the city. However, Metropolis had not lost all hope, there was one young boy named Tom, a young boy destined to be a hero, destined to change the world.
Tom knew many things about the world, after all his biggest goal was to become a significant scientist and he had already begun with a new bewildering, baffling task. Tom wanted to find out why his city had been devoured by such a violent, turbulent monster. Many people thought Toms vision was ridiculous and reckless, but Tom thought otherwise, and he would not give up.
For days and days, Metropolis remained in dusk and darkness., but Tom knew this wasn't a passing storm, it was something else. For weeks, nearly months, Tom inspected the city, trying to find the source of the sombre cloud that lurked above him. Suddenly, Tom noticed thick smoke arising from chimneys and factories. The air was heavy and toxic, its humongous fingers, lingering lazily into the sky.
Tom had realized the truth: the Citizens of Metropolis were polluting their own city into Despair, darkness, and isolation. At that very moment, Tom knew exactly what to do. With unfaltering courage and determination, Tom United the citizens together to help cleanse the air, restoring all power, hope and luminous sunlight once again. Helping to fulfil Tom's biggest dream and shape the new significant saviour of Metropolis!
